The Community Cook Up

‘The Community Cook Up: I wish you were still here’, is a series of portraits by the award winning documentary photographer and Sarabande Foundation resident Hannah Norton, featuring visitors to The Community Cook Up, a neighbourhood food and support project based in Tottenham. The Community Cook Up ran between 2017 - 2023, providing a warm welcome, company and a hot meal for the local community of the Northumberland Park area of Tottenham. This body of work is being exhibited for the first time on Lower Stable Street in Coal Drops Yard. For three months, these photographs will be exhibited in open spaces, with nothing standing between the portraits and the public.

The opening night, Thursday 20th June, will be celebrated with an evening party at Kiosk N1C space on Lower Stable Street, featuring food and drink, spoken word, live music and DJs from the Tottenham community. On the first day of summer the public will get a glimpse into The Community Cook Up family and world. On the opening weekend (22-23 June) Norton will host a series of workshops and a pop up shop at Kiosk N1C, selling zines, prints, posters and t-shirts, with a portion of the profits going to The Community Cook Up.
