Domestic Waste Bags

After School Club run by STORE STORE with fashion designer Clara Chu. Students were working with the art of upcycling, transforming discarded household and industrial objects into decorative and functional fashion accessories. Students learnt about the value of repurposing waste materials, understanding how to deconstruct and reconstruct a design resulting in a series of unique handbags.

Clara Chu is a London based Fashion accessories designer. She creates work that re-imagines everyday, mundane objects in our domestic world, merging mass production with hand-craftsmanship. Visionary and colourful pop accessories challenge what we wear on our bodies, not only textiles but often-overlooked household items, like mops, toasters and toothbrushes.
