The very first issue of Gaze is out! 160 pages of female gaze, in text and image, zero advertising. The magazine is entirely bilingual French-English. Through storytelling, reporting, and a ton of photography, Gaze explores the intimate, cultural, and political issues of womanhood.
In the first issue: a portrait of American sex-positive performer Annie Sprinkle, plus a personal essay on “what it feels to be a walking fantasy”, by French actress Isabelle Anjani, a love letter to herself by Rwandan novelist Shcolastique Mukasonga, a novel by French poetess Kiyémis, a portfolio from Afroamerican photographer Carrie Mae Weems… Just to name a few.
