KIOSK FROM HOME: #3 REBECCA STRICKSON
Artist and ‘do-er of things’ Rebecca Strickson has given us her Kiosk from home essentials.
Rebecca has been hosting Super Special Art Club on Zoom with sessions for adults and kids here.
DESCRIBE WHAT YOU DO IN 3 WORDS:
WHAT DOES YOUR WORKSPACE LOOK LIKE?
Just had to move my computer downstairs to host my Zoom Art Classes that I’m holding every week. So I'm currently on the dining room table facing my housemate, also working!
But my desk is usually split between my bedroom and my studio space down the road.
As a mainly digital artist it's just a simple desk but at present - it's a crazy dumping ground. There’s £150 on there somewhere but I'd be buggered if I could find it. I need it though!
WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO WHILST WORKING?
I Can't work without music so I’ve kept it really simple with lots of Magic FM, Absolute 90's, and someone made me a playlist of all their fave hardcore so it’s an eclectic listen...
WHAT ARE YOU READING AT THE MOMENT?
I’m currently reading ‘Her Body & Other Parties’ by Carmen Maria Machado, ‘The Body Keeps The Score’ by Bessel van der Kolk and I’m re-reading ‘The Perfect Storm’ by Sebastian Junger to keep me sane. I read it every year.
IF YOU WEREN’T DOING WHAT YOU DO, WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING?
I dread to think.
